Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your account and personal data for apps made by ROOT38 Limited, including Event Countdown and Exam Countdown. You do not need the app installed to make a request.

Delete from inside the app

The fastest way is directly in the app:

1. Open the app
2. Tap the Settings menu (top right)
3. Scroll to the bottom
4. Tap Delete My Account
5. Confirm

Request deletion without the app

If you no longer have the app installed, use the Request account deletion button above. It opens our help centre, where you can choose "Delete My Account" as the reason for contact and submit your request. No app or account login is required.

What happens next

• We acknowledge your request within a few days and complete deletion within one month.
• We may ask you to verify your identity (typically by replying from the email address on your account) before we proceed.
• Deleting your account removes your account profile and personal content, except limited information we are required to keep for legal, tax, security, moderation, or abuse-prevention reasons. In particular, subscription transaction records are retained for 7 years for HMRC tax compliance, and any banned-user records are retained to prevent ban evasion.

Important: subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. You must cancel separately:

• iOS: Apple ID account settings → Subscriptions
• Android: Google Play account settings → Subscriptions
